Trilogy Metals Named to 2026 TSX30 After 570% Share Price Surge

Trilogy Metals Inc. (NYSE American: TMQ) (TSX: TMQ) has been named to the 2026 TSX30, an annual ranking of the top-performing companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange over a three-year period based on dividend-adjusted share price appreciation. The company's share price increased 570% during the three years ended June 30, 2026, according to the announcement.

President and CEO Tony Giardini said the recognition reflects investor confidence in Trilogy and the strategic importance of the Arctic Project in northwestern Alaska to the American critical mineral supply chain. The Arctic Project is part of the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects (UKMP) located within the Ambler Mining District, which is described as one of the richest and most-prospective known copper-dominant districts in the world.

Trilogy Metals holds a 50 percent interest in Ambler Metals LLC, which has a 100 percent interest in the UKMP. On December 19, 2019, South32, a globally diversified mining and metals company, exercised its option to form a 50/50 joint venture with Trilogy Metals. The UKMP hosts polymetallic VMS deposits that contain copper, zinc, lead, gold and silver, as well as carbonate replacement deposits that have been found to host high-grade copper and cobalt mineralization. Exploration efforts have focused on two deposits in the Ambler Mining District: the Arctic VMS deposit and the Bornite carbonate replacement deposit. Both deposits are located within a land package spanning approximately 190,929 hectares.

Ambler Metals has an agreement with NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., an Alaska Native Corporation, that provides a framework for the exploration and potential development of the Ambler Mining District in cooperation with local communities. Trilogy Metals' vision is to develop the Ambler Mining District into a premier North American copper producer while protecting and respecting subsistence livelihoods.

The TSX30 recognition comes as global demand for critical minerals continues to rise, driven by the transition to renewable energy and the proliferation of electric vehicles. Copper and cobalt are essential components in batteries, wiring, and renewable energy infrastructure. Trilogy's inclusion on the TSX30 may signal growing investor interest in domestic North American sources of these minerals, reducing reliance on foreign supply chains.

For readers in Halifax and the surrounding region, the news underscores the broader trends in the mining and metals sector that can influence investment portfolios and local economies tied to resource extraction. While Trilogy's operations are based in Alaska, the company's success on a Canadian exchange highlights the interconnected nature of North American resource markets. Investors and industry watchers may view the TSX30 ranking as a validation of Trilogy's strategy and the potential of the Ambler Mining District.
