Rocky Mountain Dog has announced the launch of two new products in its All Mountain collection: the Okanagan All Mountain Dog Leash and the Okanagan Alpine Dog Collar. Inspired by the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, the collection aims to merge functional pet gear with regional storytelling, celebrating the area's vineyards, lakes, trails, and folklore.
The Okanagan All Mountain Dog Leash is designed for active dog owners who require versatility during hiking, running, or everyday walks. It features a zero-shock bungee section to minimize pulling strain, a neoprene-cushioned handle for comfort, and a quick-grab traffic handle for close control. The leash also includes integrated accessory attachment points and is available in 6-foot and 8-foot lengths. Built from adventure-grade, weather-resistant webbing, it is intended to perform in various conditions, from urban streets to mountain trails.
The Okanagan Alpine Dog Collar focuses on everyday reliability and outdoor durability. It uses lightweight yet sturdy materials, including adventure-grade webbing, a secure aluminum D-ring, and a dedicated ID tag holder that reduces noise. At 25 mm wide, the collar is designed for a balanced fit suitable for a wide range of dogs.
The design elements of the collection draw from iconic Okanagan features such as Okanagan Lake, vineyards, orchard farms, and the historic Kettle Valley Rail Trail with its trestle bridges. The collection also nods to local folklore through the legendary lake creature Ogopogo. Rob Johnson, founder of Rocky Mountain Dog, explained, 'The Okanagan has a unique character that you can't find anywhere else in Canada. We designed this collection to reflect those iconic elements while celebrating the adventures that dog owners experience throughout the region.'
The new products are available now on the Rocky Mountain Dog website and will soon be offered through retail partners. Rocky Mountain Dog, based in Calgary, Alberta, sells adventure gear for dogs including leashes, collars, harnesses, accessories, and treats, with distribution to over 150 retailers internationally.
