Michael Pachal, a designer with over 15 years of experience in custom storage unit design and cabinetry, has launched My Inspired Space, a new home storage and organization design provider serving homeowners and builders across the Greater Vancouver area and the Fraser Valley. The company, based in Pitt Meadows, offers complete custom fabrication and installation of modular storage systems tailored to each client's space and needs.
Pachal's path to independence began in 2010 when he started working with Tailored Living and Premier Garage franchises. Over the next 15 years, Tailored Living completed more than 3,000 custom storage unit designs and installations, demonstrating both the demand for such services and the quality of Pachal's work. In 2025, he decided to leave the franchise model behind and establish My Inspired Space as a fully independent operation. "After 15 years Michael came to the realization that he would be better off working independently rather than as a franchisee for a U.S.-based company," according to the company. This move allows My Inspired Space to prioritize partnerships with local B.C. vendors, channeling business to those vendors rather than ones outside the province or Canada, and better supporting the local and provincial economy.
My Inspired Space designs and installs custom storage units that match client needs with a balance of functionality and design aesthetic. The company offers complete custom fabrication with no limits to size or materials, and provides a lifetime structure warranty on wood products. No-charge initial consultations are available for interested homeowners or builders, and installation schedules can be flexible based on the owner or builder's needs. Design types include custom closets, walk-in closets, home spaces, bedroom cabinets, mud-room cabinets, garage spaces, Murphy beds, entertainment centers, and living room and home office storage. Playroom storage design is a popular choice for families with young children, and the company also does commercial storage unit design for business storefronts in the Vancouver area.
For homeowners in Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley who wish to maximize their use of space for better item storage and room organization, My Inspired Space offers a quality local provider. The company's ability to create units of any size—including custom closets and cabinets, wall units, Murphy beds, kitchen pantries, and garage storage unit design—sets it apart. By operating independently, My Inspired Space can be more agile in serving local clients and supporting the regional economy. Homeowners and builders who would like to see these designs can view the design gallery and different room-type pages at myinspiredspace.ca. The launch of My Inspired Space not only provides a new option for custom storage solutions but also reinforces the strength of local craftsmanship and small business in the Lower Mainland.
