MAX Power Mining Reports Independent Validation of Natural Hydrogen, Helium Targets at Bracken Well

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX) (OTC: MAXXF) (FRANKFURT: 89N) announced that an independent petrophysical evaluation by GLJ Ltd. identified multiple prospective natural hydrogen and helium target zones at the company's Bracken exploration well in Saskatchewan, approximately 325 kilometers southwest of the Lawson discovery. The findings support MAX Power’s basin-scale geological model and reinforce plans to begin a comprehensive completion and testing program at Bracken in the second half of July, alongside commercial validation drilling at Lawson.

The company said Bracken is the first step-out test from Lawson and has demonstrated geological characteristics similar to the discovery well, strengthening the potential for a broader regional natural hydrogen system. GLJ’s analysis confirmed multiple priority testing intervals spanning the Precambrian basement through Devonian formations, with the company aiming to evaluate the scale, continuity and commercial potential of stacked natural hydrogen and helium reservoirs across its 750-square-kilometer Grasslands Project.

This independent validation is significant because it de-risks the exploration process and provides third-party confirmation that the geological conditions for natural hydrogen accumulation exist beyond the initial Lawson discovery. For investors and the energy sector, the implications are substantial: if commercial quantities of natural hydrogen and helium can be proven, it could represent a new domestic source of clean energy and critical industrial gases. Natural hydrogen, often called "white hydrogen," is generated through natural geological processes and burns without CO2 emissions, making it a potentially game-changing low-carbon energy source. Helium, meanwhile, is essential for medical imaging, semiconductor manufacturing, and aerospace applications, with global supply constraints driving interest in new discoveries.

MAX Power has built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen. The company's Lawson Discovery near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, represents Canada’s first-ever subsurface Natural Hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling with data validated by three independent labs. The Bracken well results strengthen the case that the region may host a widespread hydrogen system, potentially extending across multiple formations and structures.

The upcoming testing program at Bracken, slated to begin in July, will involve flow testing and sampling to determine reservoir properties such as permeability, porosity, and gas composition. Success at Bracken would not only validate the company's exploration model but could also accelerate the commercialization timeline for natural hydrogen in Canada. Additionally, the coincident presence of helium enhances the economic attractiveness of the project, as helium production can offset hydrogen extraction costs.

MAX Power is an innovative mineral and energy exploration company focused on the shift to decarbonization. The company also holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals, highlighted by a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona. MAX Power is committed to responsible exploration and development practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, meaningful community engagement, and strong corporate governance.
