Lahontan Gold Corp. (TSX.V: LG) (OTCQB: LGCXF) has announced three strategic additions to its management team as the company advances its flagship Santa Fe Mine project toward a targeted production restart in 2027. The moves come as Lahontan transitions from mine developer to mine builder, marking a critical phase in the company’s evolution.
Tony Gesualdo has rejoined Lahontan as vice president of exploration. Gesualdo previously served as exploration manager from 2020 to 2023 and contributed to the initial Mineral Resource Estimate for the Santa Fe Mine. His return brings continuity and deep project knowledge as the company continues to expand and refine its resource base.
Michael Kubel joins as senior mine engineer, bringing more than a decade of Nevada open-pit gold mining and heap-leach experience. Kubel has worked at the Florida Canyon and Hycroft mines, both significant operations in the region. His operational expertise will be crucial as Lahontan moves toward construction and eventual production.
Jen Earle joins in investor relations and business development, with two decades of experience in natural resources, capital markets, and investor engagement across the LSE, ASX, and TSX markets. Earle’s appointment underscores the company’s focus on strengthening its financial and stakeholder communications as it approaches a major milestone.
Founder, Executive Chair, CEO and President Kimberly Ann said the additions strengthen Lahontan’s technical, operational, and business development capabilities as it advances Santa Fe permitting, mine planning, and its planned transition toward construction and operations. This news matters because it signals concrete progress toward reopening a past-producing gold and silver mine in Nevada, which could bring economic benefits to the region through job creation and increased mining activity. For investors, the strengthened management team and clear timeline toward a 2027 production restart may enhance confidence in Lahontan’s ability to execute its strategy. The addition of experienced personnel in exploration, engineering, and investor relations demonstrates the company’s commitment to de-risking the project and maximizing its potential. As the Santa Fe Mine advances, it could contribute to domestic mineral supply, reducing reliance on foreign sources for critical metals.
