MAX Power Mining Names Chad Levesque President to Lead Natural Hydrogen Strategy

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX) (OTC: MAXXF) (FRANKFURT: 89N) has appointed Chad Levesque as president and a member of its board of directors, the company announced Tuesday. Levesque, who has been involved with MAX Power’s capital markets, corporate development and investor relations since the company went public in 2022, will continue to lead those initiatives while expanding awareness of the company’s Natural Hydrogen strategy.

The appointment comes as MAX Power accelerates work on its Lawson Discovery and the broader Genesis Trend in Saskatchewan. The company believes these assets position it at the forefront of the emerging Natural Hydrogen sector. Natural hydrogen, also known as white hydrogen, is naturally occurring hydrogen found in subsurface deposits and is considered a potential clean energy source.

MAX Power’s Lawson Discovery near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, represents Canada’s first subsurface Natural Hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling, with data validated by three independent labs. The company has built a dominant district-scale land position across Saskatchewan, with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of Natural Hydrogen.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chad to his expanded role as president,” said MAX Power CEO in a statement. “His deep understanding of our Natural Hydrogen strategy and capital markets expertise will be invaluable as we advance commercial evaluation of our assets.”

In conjunction with the appointment, the company granted Levesque 300,000 restricted share units and 650,000 stock options under its omnibus equity incentive plan. The options are exercisable at $2.26 per share through June 22, 2031, subject to vesting and regulatory approvals.

Beyond hydrogen, MAX Power holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals. These include the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, where the company made a diamond drilling discovery in 2024. The project is 100%-owned by MAX Power’s U.S. subsidiary.

The company is committed to responsible exploration and development practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, meaningful community engagement, and strong corporate governance.
