Hybrid Power Solutions Inc. announced Wednesday it has received a purchase order valued at over C$1.5 million from distributor LMDH Equipment Sales for the rental supply of Spark Hybrid systems to Location GM, a Quebec-based equipment rental specialist. The order, which is the largest in the company’s history, underscores increasing demand for clean, fuel-free power solutions in industrial applications.
The order comprises six 20kWh Spark Hybrid units and four 30kWh Spark Hybrid units, each paired with a dedicated generator and trailer. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in June 2026. This follows an initial agreement for nine Spark units valued at C$521,100, indicating a rapid scale-up in adoption by Location GM.
"Securing this significant rental fleet order is a major milestone for Hybrid," said Francois Byrne, CEO and Founder of Hybrid Power Solutions. "It demonstrates strong confidence in our Spark Hybrid platform from both our distributor LMDH and the end customers at Location GM. This order is a signal that the market is transitioning to hybrid technology as an industry standard. Rentals offer great exposure to a large variety of high-profile customers."
The deal highlights the growing importance of hybrid power systems in reducing reliance on fossil fuels for off-grid and remote operations. Hybrid Power Solutions, a Canadian clean energy company, focuses on developing portable power systems that eliminate the need for fossil fuels. The Spark Hybrid units provide emission-free power, which is increasingly sought after by industries aiming to meet sustainability targets and reduce operational costs.
LMDH Equipment Sales, operating in Canada and the USA, specializes in fuel tanks and power equipment for rental fleets. The company played a key role in facilitating the order, demonstrating the effectiveness of distribution partnerships in expanding market reach. "LMDH Equipment Sales continues to play an important role in expanding access to advanced rental-ready power and fuel solutions across North America," the company stated.
