Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has completed its 2025 exploration program at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property northeast of Hixon, British Columbia, with a two-phase drill program totaling 1,729.79 meters across eight surface diamond drill holes. The program encountered technical challenges in specific geological formations but achieved several significant developments. A key advancement was the implementation of PhotonAssay™ technology as part of the company's regular assay protocol. This technology proved valuable when reanalysis of drill hole QGQ24-20 using PhotonAssay™ verified and increased gold grades by 5.9% compared to traditional fire assay methods. The results returned 0.56 grams per ton gold over 475.4 meters from shallow depth, including a higher-grade section of 236.88 meters averaging 1.06 grams per ton gold, as detailed in the company's News Release dated August 12, 2025.
The most notable discovery came from the Km Uno Zone located approximately 2 kilometers southeast of the primary Halo zone. Initial samples from this new area yielded promising results of 1.1 grams per ton gold with 8.0 grams per ton silver and 0.57 grams per ton gold with 3.3 grams per ton silver. These findings align with airborne resistivity data, ground conductivity anomalies, and a strong gold-silver-arsenic soil anomaly, suggesting potential for additional mineralization outside the main target area, as reported in the News Release dated September 9, 2025. Drill hole QGQ25-23 intersected 0.56 grams per ton gold over 99.84 meters within the Halo zone before terminating in mineralization, indicating continuity of the gold system.
The company has recently engaged MSALABS in Prince George to prepare and conduct PhotonAssay™ analysis for both gold and silver, which may expedite turnaround time for assay results due to the laboratory's proximity to the property. Presently, samples from several drill holes are in various stages of analysis and preparation, with drilling suspended in December 2025 for a seasonal break. Operations are scheduled to resume in early 2026 to test both the northern extension of the Halo zone and down-dip mineralization of Mobile Metal Ion gold-in-soil anomalies identified in previous exploration, as referenced in the News Release dated March 19, 2025.
Building on the momentum of the 2025 program, Golden Cariboo is preparing an ambitious exploration strategy for 2026 that intends to significantly scale up drilling and trenching activities. The company plans to broaden its regional understanding of district-scale geology across its extensive 94,899-hectare mineral land package. The technical information in the exploration summary has been reviewed and approved by independent consultant Jean Pautler, a Professional Geoscientist registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. The implications of these findings are substantial, as they demonstrate both the validation of existing mineralization through advanced technology and the discovery of new mineralized zones, potentially expanding the property's resource base and guiding future exploration investments.
